Packing, musical ramblings and...ideas?!?!?!

Wow...packing is a blast!!!

Actually, it's not too bad. We knew a move was coming so we started early. So, what does a guy do when he wants to take a break?? Why, he gets more music dude!!!

Random Musical Musings

Embryo: "Steig Aus" (1972) was even more awesome than I was expecting! That's it. Time to get me some more embryo...

Got more Acid Mothers Temple...can't have too much acid or hallucinogens...and I'm moving to an island of mushrooms...ahhhh sweet psychedelics....acid mothers awesome web site...check out the words of Kawabato Makaboto in the FAQ...very cool

sixty fucking eight

Ian Hunter has a new cd out. Shrunken Heads (2007), and it sounds excellent. A consistent old fart still spewing out very cool music. Integrity, dude. He also answers questions from his fans on his excellent web site. For some reason, I find that very cool. Here's a review of the new album from Pop Matters. Ian Hunter's most excellent official web site.

Onedia "Each One, Teach One" (2002) is blasting through the headphones right now, and it sounds great. "Sheets of Easter" is fucking relentless!!

I heard a live Stooges concert from April 2007 and it sounded great! After slagging off Iggy a few posts ago, I better put in a positive comment. He still rocks on stage...but the lyrics of the new songs????

Ian Hunter's going to be 68 this fucking Saturday!!! Iggy's now 60!!!! Ian Hunter is only 1 year younger than my fucking parents!!!! And way cooler!!!!!!!!!!!!! [aside: no offense Dad...Ian's cooler than me and he has 24 years on me.]

What do the kids call a new release now??? I still refer to a new release as an album, even though I usually get the cd. Is using "album" passe"? Is it called a new "cd"?

During this time of transition, ideas have started brewing in the ol' brain stew...finally...is it the increased dosage of wellbutrin? Is it the move? Whatever, it's nice to have a little more energy.

The ideas?
Harvey Dogs drug addled brain
a) Well...some kind of combination encyclopedic music web site...has the facts...and opinions in a F U N way...I love the rock encyclopedias and all that, but sometimes critics get awfully boring...they don't put much creativity into their reviews (they seem "pumped" out). That's why Lester Bangs was great...he was a writer, who wrote about his passion (music & drugs) and would then take you on a musical drugged journey. Well, I want to take you to a musical carnival!! And it can also be drugged drunk sober...ya never know!!

b) A photo web site for the Guru.

c) A web site to contain all my non-musical writings...poetry, short stories, babbling, ranting...

d) Oh yeh...and I really want to find a job on the islands as soon as possible. If anyone has any connections for a job in either Skidegate or Queen Charlotte on Haida Gwaii shoot me a comment and I will then make sweet love to you in a non-sexual non-threatening way.

This has been a great break, but with the amount of shit still left to do, there probably won't be too many updates until late June.
peace baby peace.

Bruce e-Mole Mowat here.

I am glad you are feeling POSITIVE about this move.

A suggestion: work at at a tackle and bait joint. It will be more interesting than it sounds..

Thanks Bruce!!

It's awesome here...and I'm looking at anything. I applied for a job at a vet clinic yesterday! Beautiful place, relaxed atmosphere and a chance to help the lil buggers...but who knows? Tackle and bait shop? That sounds cool too!
